As a Sea Ranch Lodge wedding photographer, I think it may be the best place in the world to get married. It's gorgeous, rugged, modern-yet-timeless, and deeply special in a way that cannot even be described with words. It's a place that is dynamic and shifts with the seasons: green hills in spring, hot-pink blooms along the bluffs in winter, clear blue skies in fall, and magical coastal light in summer.


An Intimate Sea Ranch Lodge Wedding

N & W stayed at the Sea Ranch Lodge before they ever started wedding planning, and knew right away it was where they wanted to marry. In the morning they got ready separately at their own Sea Ranch houses, then gathered just 15 of their closest people to celebrate with them. Natalie wore her mom's vintage wedding dress. The original sequins had yellowed over the years, so her mom hand-sewed new ones onto the bodice and sleeves, then invited Natalie's closest people to each stitch on a few beads of their own. She walked down the aisle wearing a physical reminder of all of the love she had surrounding her. Following the ceremony, everyone headed to the Solarium where they ate dinner together overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

The Sea Ranch Lodge also offers home rentals scattered across the community, which are perfect for gathering family and friends into a full wedding weekend, and for a roomy, relaxed place to get ready before the ceremony. The couple stayed at Compass Close and the Tarp House for their wedding weekend.

The wedding ceremony was held at the Barn Meadow North, to the right of the historic Black Point Barn. This area has a beautiful view of the ocean and is slightly more private and sheltered from the wind, which is great for ceremonies.

One of the perks of the Sea Ranch Lodge is that you can take your wedding portraits both on the bluffs overlooking the ocean and against the angular architecture, which leads to a dynamic and beautiful final gallery that feels both edgy, wild, yet contemporary.
