The Sea Ranch Lodge is an incredible place, unlike anywhere else on earth. I'm Annalee, a film wedding photographer based in San Francisco, and this stretch of the Sonoma coast is one of my very favorite places to photograph. The rugged bluffs, the deep blue ocean, and the clean lines of 1960s modernist design all come together in a kind of quiet harmony. It's hard to put into words; it's just a genuinely special place.

As a documentary-style photographer, I find that Sea Ranch lends itself to the most beautiful, intentional celebrations. People relax with the ocean right in front of them. Loved ones are gathered somewhere remote enough to facilitate deep connection. Time slows down, and Sea Ranch itself becomes a beautiful part of your wedding day story. I'm always overjoyed to make the drive up the coast to the Sea Ranch Lodge and capture love in this special place.

why i love photographing weddings at the sea ranch lodge

Sea Ranch has so much range all in one place. Within a short walk you can go from a ceremony on the ocean bluffs, to portraits in a tall grassy meadow, to a reception inside the Lodge. Each spot is completely different yet all of it is stunning. The Lodge itself changes with each season; it has green hills in spring, hot-pink blooms along the bluffs in winter, clear blue skies in fall, and magical coastal light in summer.
